WORLD CLASS BALD EAGLE VIEWING
Join us on this exciting wilderness journey to a small geographic stretch along the Chilkat River in Alaska known as the “The Valley of the Eagles”.
THE LATE SALMON RUN – A LAST FEAST FOR THE EAGLES
Each winter for a couple of weeks, American Bald Eagles gather to feed on late salmon spawning runs causing the population of these majestic raptors to swell from approximately 400 year-round resident eagles to over 3,500.
EAGLES! EAGLES! EAGLES!
America’s iconic bird is always a welcome sight for photographers but imagine if you see trees laden with hundreds of these magnificent birds in a small geographical area? It’s truly a sight to behold.
EAGLES UP-CLOSE AND PERSONAL
The eagles are surprisingly tolerant of people, therefore it is not uncommon to be at eye level with a perched bird only meters away from you or soaring just above you. On-the-ground encounters have been as close as 15 meters.
A MYSTICAL BEAST THE COLOR OF SNOW
No other animal symbolizes the rugged beauty of the Yukon better than the charismatic Dall sheep. Their massive horns and supreme agility in rugged terrain are the basis for your opportunity to photograph a herd of these magnificent creatures on this safari.
EXCEPTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC OPPORTUNITIES
The subjects themselves plus the spectacular landscape makes for memorable photo ops at every turn. Our knowledgeable guides are more than happy to provide professional advice and instruction for those wishing to hone their photography skills.
